"Leon Robinson" American Actor, Singer

“Leon Robinson “ is a self title American actor and singer known as “ Leon”. He was born March 8,1962 in New York City, New York.

Leon started actively working in film in the early 1980s.

Leon is a multi-talented and iconic performer with legendary performances as an actor and singer. He is well-known for “Cover”, “Little Richard” and “The Temptations”, “The Flamingo Kid”, “Colors”, “Waiting to Exhale”, “Side Streets”, “The Price of Kissing”, “Once Upon a Time When We Were Colored”, “The Five Heartbeats”, “Resurrection Blvd.” just to name a few.

Mr. Robinson has added the title “Producer” to his collection of greatness as well.  Leon is the executive producer of the international TV series “40 & Single” which is on UMC.


Urban Movie Channel (UMC) is an urban-focused subscription streaming service in North America which features quality urban content that showcases feature films, documentaries, original series, stand-up shows and etc.

Leon also stars in the provocative new series “A Luv Tale”. Leon is currently on a successful film festival run supporting his political satire short film “Make America Black Again” which he produces, directs and stars in for his NYC based Motion Mob Films.

As a freshman at Loyola Marymount University, Leon wrote and performed the opening song for the LA Special Olympics.

The “Young Lions,” the first musical group Leon performed with also opened the door to his live musical performances and he was inspired once he started singing original tunes.


Leon is the lead vocalist in a band he formed called “Leon & The Peoples”. They released their Spectra Music Group debut album “Love Is A Beautiful Thing” last year, July 20, 2018.

The single off of the album l made it to the "Hot Singles Charts" numerous times, reaching as high as number three with their hit single “Love Is A Beautiful Thing”.


Leon also received an International Reggae and World Music Award nomination for his band Leon & The Peoples debut CD “The Road Less Traveled”. He was the winner of “Best International Artist” at the 2nd annual Joe Higgs Reggae Awards.


During 2005 - 2010, Leon & The Peoples headlined The 25th Annual Aids Walk NYC Concert in Central Park. NYC Summer Stage, Aspen Jazz Festival, NYC’s Catalpa Festival, New Orleans International Music & Arts Festival, and Atlanta’s National Blacks Arts Festival, Reggae On The River, Chicago’s Caribbean Fest. amongst others.

The band has been featured on BET’s very popular 106 & Park & more recently on BET’s Centric network.
